Edilson Cifuentes is a new partner in the LaREB project, and this is the first harvest Swerl sourced from him. LaREB is a co-op of about 60 producers, founded and run by the producers themselves. They manage quality control and support their members, particularly those with smaller quantities, in bringing their lots to the international market.
Operating without the involvement of traditional importers or exporters, LaREB handles everything from shipping and warehousing to financing and sales. This model ensures that 80% to 90% of the profits remain in Colombia, directly benefiting the producers.
