Its complexity lies primarily in its sophisticated flavour. The fresh flowers that dominate the aroma of the leaves give way to vegetal-fruity flavours during the first brew. All three blend brilliantly into a single entity, as seen in the classic example of Mao Jian tea (as it is known in China).
