Brrr… the weather is not kind to us at this time of the year. A biting wind, sharp frosts and the all-pervading cold are a nuisance to all of us. Which is why, considering all those who get cold easily, as well as tea enthusiasts and hygge lovers, I prepared three savoury and warming winter tea recipes that will make it more enjoyable for you to return home in autumn and winter, get immersed in a book or carry on those endless conversations with friends.
Tea base
The best universal base for a warming brew will be your favourite black tea. Intense Assam or elegant Earl Grey flavoured with bergamot – surely everyone will find something good for themselves. Spiced black tea, such as Winter’s Light tempting you with a wonderful aroma, will be just as good. Anyway, in both cases, the flavour and warming properties of a tea can be enhanced by choosing appropriate ingredients, making from an ordinary tea with white sugar, often associated with dullness and boredom, an extraordinary one.
Health-boosting ingredients
Ginger root, fresh fruit, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, raspberry syrup, rosemary or natural honey… the list of beneficial ingredients you can add to your tea is unending, the limitis set only by our imagination and preferences. Most teas go perfectly together and complement each other, creating simply magical compositions that not only warm up your cold body and soothe your soul, but also help you stimulate your immune system and strengthen your organism before it is confronted with difficult weather conditions.
More tea – more happiness
Teas are undoubtedly a source of unique aromas and precious vitamins in every sip. So do brew them in large cups, mugs, or even better – in jugs – citrus or apple slices and herbs take up some space after all. And more tea brings you more happiness and a prolonged moment of relaxation. Because who doesn’t love to feel a delightful warmth all over their body.
And remember, good things are worth sharing, so a quality tea in nice packaging with a few tea inspirations from yourself will be a wonderful present that will make many people happy.
So let’s get down to work, let the magic happen!
