Nitro Blade® Burr"Back in 2005, I started my small specialty coffee roastery – drawn in by the incredible flavors and outstanding cup qualities that specialty coffee had to offer. Those early years were filled with roasting, cupping, and traveling to connect directly with producers at origin.Roasting and brewing in the field was manageable. But precise grinding – the key to truly tasting and deciding on a coffee – was the real challenge. None of the hand grinders I tried gave me the clarity or consistency needed. I kept dreaming of EK43-level performance in a compact format I could carry deep into the mountains. I just needed a grind I could trust. Most conical burrs at the time were designed for electric grinders. Nobody had really considered what a manually operated precision burr would require: superb grind quality, smooth torque, comfortable ergonomics, clean particle distribution – and ultimately, absolute taste clarity. Then came Cup of Excellence. It shifted the coffee world’s focus toward extraordinary cup quality and flavor expression. The bar was rising. This new era of specialty coffee needed a grinder with a true specialty burr to match. So I started building one. And after years of prototyping, testing, and investing in serious lab equipment, it finally came together. In 2015, I launched my first Nitro Blade® based hand grinder: the Comandante® C40 Mk3. I handed a few early prototypes to friends – who soon went on to win major brew competitions. Nitro Blade® quickly earned its reputation as the Original Game Changer.Ten years later, Nitro Blade® is still the gold standard. Built to last, engineered for clarity, and trusted by champions and home brewers alike.I’m so glad you’ve got one in your hands now. Welcome to the journey, and to a community that truly loves great coffee and fine craftsmanship. Whole-bean specialty coffee beans from Tanzania, roasted by COFFEE PLANT from Poland. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. You can expect hints of stone fruits, flowers, tea and lemon.Origin: TanzaniaRegion: ArushaFarm: Mondul EstateProcessing: Fully WashedVariety: BourbonAltitude: 1550-1900 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE FARMMondul Estate is part of the historic Burka Farm in the Arusha region, founded in 1899 by German settlers. Since 1929, it has been managed by a group of Swiss investors. The coffee trees grow at an altitude of 1,600–1,765 meters above sea level, under the shade of trees, which promotes the slow ripening of the fruit and the development of a complex profile.Over 200 people work permanently on the farm, and during the harvest season, up to 2,000 seasonal workers join them. The farm provides housing, medical care, and education for workers and their families, while focusing on responsible and environmentally friendly farming methods. The name "Mondul" comes from natural springs that have nourished the crops and local communities for generations. Water from these springs is also used for wet processing – after harvesting, ripe cherries are washed and fermented, then dried on raised African beds for about 7 days. This process preserves the clarity of the profile and brings out a delicate floral note, citrus, and tea-like qualities, without unnecessary heaviness or fermented character.ROASTER'S OPINIONIt is rare to come across coffee from a farm that has been operating continuously since 1899. Mondul is precisely such a case – one of the oldest and most recognizable farms in Tanzania, now belonging to Burka Estate at the foot of Mount Meru. The washed process emphasizes the clarity of the profile, allowing delicate florals, citrus, and a tea-like note to shine through. In the aroma, delicate flowers and fresh lemon come to the fore, with a light, tea-like note appearing in the background. In flavor, stone fruits build sweetness, while lemon brings a refreshing, medium acidity that does not dominate the profile. The finish remains gently tea-like. The coffee has a soft, velvety body, making it light and balanced.Store in a cool and dry place.

Whole-bean specialty coffee beans from Ethiopia, roasted by COFFEE PLANT from Poland. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. You can expect hints of flowers, strawberry and citrus.Origin: EthiopiaRegion: YirgacheffeFarm: Gotiti Washing StationProcessing: NaturalVariety: HeirloomAltitude: 1890-2100 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE REGION, FARM, AND PROCESSINGThe coffee comes from the Banko Gotiti washing station in Gotiti village, in the Kochere district of the Yirgacheffe region. The station is managed by Alemu Bukato, and the cherries delivered to it come from around 650 local farmers cultivating coffee at altitudes of 1,900–2,100 meters above sea level. High altitude, fertile soils, and regular rainfall create conditions for which Yirgacheffe is famous for exceptionally aromatic coffees with a floral and fruity character.Only ripe cherries enter the processing stage, which, after selection, are dried whole on raised African beds for 12–15 days. During this time, they are regularly turned and protected from intense sun, rain, and night moisture. Slow and controlled drying allows the beans to absorb sugars from the pulp, building the intense sweetness and characteristic floral notes of the finest Ethiopian natural process coffees. After drying, the coffee is hulled, sorted, and hand-picked before packaging.ROASTER'S OPINIONFor years, Yirgacheffe has been famous for some of the most sought-after Ethiopian microlots, and Banko Gotiti is among the most well-known stations in the region. This coffee stands out with an unusual combination of features from two different processes – intense floral notes and citrus acidity typical of washed coffees, alongside clear, sweet strawberry associated with natural process coffees.Intense flowers dominate the aroma, accompanied by delicate citrus and sweet berries. In flavor, floral notes combine with a distinct strawberry note, while refreshing citrus acidity brings lightness to the whole profile. The coffee has a medium body, high sweetness, and a long, pleasant aftertaste where flowers and citrus appear once again. It is an interesting natural process coffee with an unusual character.Store in a cold and dry space.
Whole-bean specialty coffee from Kenya and Ethiopia, roasted in Poland by COFFEE PLANT. Dark roast, perfect for espresso, coffee machines, and moka pots. You can expect hints of red fruits, stone fruits and fresh citrus.Country: Kenya, EthiopiaRegion: Nyeri, GujiVarietal: SL28, SL34, HeirloomProcessing: Natural/Fully washedAltitude: 1620-2230 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE COFFEEThis coffee was designed for espresso tonic — juicy, refreshing, and distinct enough to hold its own when combined with tonic water. Its profile features red fruits, stone fruits, and subtle citrus, which together build a fresh, fruity character.Washed processed Kenya brings clear, citrusy energy and structure, ensuring the espresso remains distinct even after mixing with tonic. Natural processed Ethiopia adds sweetness and an intense, fruity dimension — ranging from juicy red fruits to ripe stone fruits. The espresso itself is full of energy, clean, and naturally sweet, with a clear freshness in the background. When combined with tonic, the beverage becomes even lighter and more crisp — citrus notes boost the refreshment, fruity sweetness balances the dryness, and the whole composition results in a juicy, clear, and highly drinkable profile.ROASTER'S OPINIONThis coffee was created with espresso tonic in mind — intense, juicy, and bold enough to cut through even when mixed with tonic. Its profile is based on red fruits, stone fruits, and subtle citrus, which together create a fresh, fruity, and crisp character. In combination with tonic, the drink gains fullness and energy. Citrus notes enhance the refreshing effect, fruity sweetness softens the bitterness of the tonic, and the overall experience becomes both juicy and clear. This is exactly the profile expected from a good espresso tonic base — fresh, light, and very drinkable. Perfect for warm days and all moments when you feel like having something truly refreshing.RECIPEEspresso Tonic is a simple yet very refreshing drink, perfect for hot days. Just prepare a tall glass with ice, pour in about 150 ml of tonic, and then gently add a freshly brewed espresso. The result is a light, sparkling drink with a pleasant citrus and coffee character. For extra aroma, you can add a few slices of orange or grapefruit — they will emphasize the freshness and give the drink a more complex flavor profile. For the espresso, a classic recipe works best: 18 g of finely ground coffee to obtain about 35–40 g of brew in approximately 30 seconds. The order is key — tonic first, then espresso. In the reverse version, the drink may foam up excessively and "overflow" from the glass.Store in a dry and cool place.

Whole-bean specialty coffee from Ethiopia, roasted by Trigger roasting brand. Medium roast, perfect for espresso machines and moka pots. Now it is your espresso. This lot comes from the Gatta farm of the Dukamo family, in the Sidama region, Ethiopia – grown at an altitude of 1,900–2,000 meters above sea level under the shade of native trees that are over 200 years old. The Dukamo brothers started from scratch with the conviction that coffee from Sidama deserves more attention. Fifteen years later, they have 3 farms, 42 washing stations, and 6 dry mills. This is what consistency tastes like. The processing method is Sleeping Bag Natural – cherries are sorted by ripeness and dried outdoors in sealed bags that slow down moisture loss and concentrate flavor without the risk of over-fermentation. The effect is clean, sweet, and very precise for a natural.ROASTER'S OPINIONSirius is a natural Ethiopian espresso that behaves well in the portafilter – fruity, but with acidity kept in check; sweet, but not overly cloying. Pear and strawberry bring juiciness to the shot, while caramel sweetness balances it out, ensuring a satisfying finish. Cleanliness and clarity that you do not normally expect from a natural in a portafilter. Good on its own, even better with milk. One of those coffees where dialing in a recipe is effortless.RATIOS: dose 19 g / yield 47 g / 28 s.Store in a cool and dry place.
Whole-bean specialty decaffeinated coffee from Colombia, roasted by Trigger roasting brand. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. The brew resembles the flavour of chocolate, lime and red fruits.Country: ColombiaRegion: TolimaFarm: El IndioProcessing: NaturalMethod of decaffeination: SugarcaneAltitude: 1500-2150 m a.s.l.Variety: CaturraCupping score: 87 / 100ABOUT THE COFFEE AND PROCESSINGA decaf from Tolima that doesn't apologize for being a decaf. This lot comes from the Planadas region in Tolima, Colombia – grown at an altitude of 1500–2150 meters above sea level on volcanic, clay soil by about 175 families gathered in local agricultural associations. Tolima regularly appears in the Cup of Excellence, and for good reason – the region delivers coffees with a distinct character and a clean profile. The coffee is decaffeinated using the sugarcane ethyl acetate method – not chemically, but using a natural solvent derived from sugarcane. The green beans enter a steam chamber, are then soaked in spring water, and spend 8 hours in direct contact with ethyl acetate, which dissolves the caffeine while leaving the rest untouched. The result: coffee that tastes like coffee.ROASTER'S OPINIONEl Indio is a decaf that doesn't act like a decaf. Lime acidity, red fruits, and a chocolate finish – everything is in place, only caffeine is missing. The sugarcane EA method preserves what's best in the coffee, removing only what led someone to reach for decaf in the first place. Recommended without warnings. It is characterized by notes of crisp apple and forest fruits, while being balanced by the sweetness of roasted hazelnuts. This lot comes from Finca San Jose del Lago in the Atitlán region of Guatemala, where it is grown at an altitude of 1,565–2,100 meters above sea level, overlooking Lake Atitlán and three majestic volcanoes. The farm covers an area of 200 hectares, of which 45 hectares are dedicated to coffee cultivation – the remainder forms a natural protected area. The Cabrera family has been connected to this land since the early 20th century, and coffee cultivation began in the 1940s. Eduardo Cabrera, the current owner, invested in building his own wet mill on the farm, which allowed him to take full control over processing quality. The coffee is fully washed and carefully dried, ensuring the clean, crisp flavor profile for which the Atitlan region is famous.ROASTER'S OPINIONIf muesli could be coffee, it would want to be this Guatemala! The best that Central America has to offer - the acidity of red apples, a basket of forest fruits, and a beautiful sweetness of hazelnuts reminiscent of Nutella.V60 RECIPEwater temperature: 94 degrees Celsius, 300 g water, 21 g coffee, grind size 7.2 (Fellow Ode II)Bloom 75 g water pouring: 0-0:10,150 g water pouring 0:30-0:40,225 g water pouring 1:00-1:10,300 g water pouring 1:30-1:40. Floral, sweet, and a bit surprising – exactly how Banger Brew should work. The Indonesian base provides sweetness and a full body, characteristic of wet-hulled coffees, while the Colombian co-ferment with rose water does exactly what the name suggests: turns your batch brew into a liquid rose-filled donut! Clean, smooth, and exceptionally drinkable in large quantities. It works best in a batch brew, where the jammy, floral character has room to spread its wings without excessive acidity.ROASTER'S OPINIONBanger Brew Pączek z Różą is a coffee that makes people stop and ask in surprise, "what is this?!". The co-fermentation with rose water is noticeable, yet subtle – floral, but not perfumy, sweet, but not over the top. The wet-hulled Indonesian base provides a fuller body and makes the blend extremely drinkable. Whole-bean specialty coffee from Ethiopia, roasted by Trigger roasting brand. The Gera washing station is located in the Gera woreda in the Djimma region of Ethiopia – run by five brothers, second-generation producers who took over from their parents 5 years ago. Year-round, 20 people work here, and during the harvest season from October to December, this number increases to 80. The coffee grows in the shade of Abyssinian banana trees, cultivated using organic methods by many local smallholder farmers without synthetic fertilizers. Ripe cherries are hand-picked by seasonal workers, and after processing, they are sun-dried for 12–16 days until reaching the ideal moisture content. Kumquat and lemon give it a lively, fresh acidity, while dark oolong provides the brew with a structure and depth not always expected from a washed Ethiopian coffee. A coffee that surprises – in a positive way.ROASTER'S OPINIONGera is a washed Ethiopia with a character that is hard to miss. Kumquat and lemon build a bright, lively acidity, while dark oolong keeps it all in check and gives the cup a tea-like structure. Clean, precise, and with personality.
