Nitro Blade® Burr"Back in 2005, I started my small specialty coffee roastery – drawn in by the incredible flavors and outstanding cup qualities that specialty coffee had to offer. Those early years were filled with roasting, cupping, and traveling to connect directly with producers at origin.Roasting and brewing in the field was manageable. But precise grinding – the key to truly tasting and deciding on a coffee – was the real challenge. None of the hand grinders I tried gave me the clarity or consistency needed. I kept dreaming of EK43-level performance in a compact format I could carry deep into the mountains. I just needed a grind I could trust. Most conical burrs at the time were designed for electric grinders. Nobody had really considered what a manually operated precision burr would require: superb grind quality, smooth torque, comfortable ergonomics, clean particle distribution – and ultimately, absolute taste clarity. Then came Cup of Excellence. It shifted the coffee world’s focus toward extraordinary cup quality and flavor expression. The bar was rising. This new era of specialty coffee needed a grinder with a true specialty burr to match. So I started building one. And after years of prototyping, testing, and investing in serious lab equipment, it finally came together. In 2015, I launched my first Nitro Blade® based hand grinder: the Comandante® C40 Mk3. I handed a few early prototypes to friends – who soon went on to win major brew competitions. Nitro Blade® quickly earned its reputation as the Original Game Changer.Ten years later, Nitro Blade® is still the gold standard. Built to last, engineered for clarity, and trusted by champions and home brewers alike.I’m so glad you’ve got one in your hands now. Welcome to the journey, and to a community that truly loves great coffee and fine craftsmanship. Enjoy every cup!"– Bernd Braune, FounderNitro Rex® – steel like no otherNitro Rex® is more than stainless steel — it is an achievement of material engineering and craftsmanship. It contains over 17% chromium and precisely balanced amounts of vanadium, molybdenum, and other valuable micro-alloys, giving it outstanding corrosion resistance, hardness, and wear resistance. Its complex remelting process creates a fine, homogeneous structure and a silver-white surface that is not only aesthetically striking but also eliminates the need for coatings. Nitro Rex® stays exactly as it is made: robust, durable, and completely flavor-neutral — allowing coffee to retain its full character.Nitro Rex® forms the heart of the grinders. It ensures consistent precision and durability, appreciated worldwide — whether grinding ultra-fine espresso or coarse filter coffee. Every COMANDANTE grinder is created for people who refuse to compromise and who share a passion for quality, craftsmanship, and perfect coffee.QTP® – high-performance techno-polymerNot all plastics are the same. At Comandante®, advanced materials are chosen with purpose. QTP® is a high-performance techno-polymer — a long-chain polymer matrix reinforced with quartz nanoparticles. It looks and feels like ceramic, yet offers the strength of a super-composite. Designed for durability and precision, it is also food-safe and water-resistant. Quietly cutting-edge, built to perform.Premium Wood Veneer - American CherryA fine layer of carefully selected wood is laminated onto a stainless steel body and meticulously finished by our craftsmen and women. The Steve PM20 is LELIT’s latest coffee grinder, engineered to deliver professional-grade precision in a compact and intuitive format. The Steve PM20 is the first model in Wave 01, a new design philosophy developed with Design Group Italia. This wave represents a turning point: not an evolution of William, but a new way of using a coffee grinder, introducing a workflow and design language that lay the foundation for the next generation of LELIT products. It features:64 mm high-precision flat burrs, co-branded with Kebera new 7-segment LED displaya dual workflow system (programmed dosing + on-demand)Steve PM20 is designed for:1. Prosumer baristas who value precision and repeatability.2. Specialty coffee enthusiasts seeking consistent results across different roast profiles.3. Home users ready to upgrade to professional- grade grinding.4. Light commercial settings such as boutique cafés, offices, and showrooms. It also appeals to home design lovers, who enjoy experimenting with a visually distinctive machine that blends seamlessly into their living space.Steve in Depth: Side Ribbon Design: A bold stylistic feature that defines the silhouette and inaugurates LELIT’s new Visual Design Language.Interface: A 7-segment LED display with two multifunctional buttons (Menu/– and On-Demand/+) streamlines interaction, replacing the multiple physical switches of previous grinders.Minimalist approach: No external LEDs; every machine status is clearly shown on the display.Ergonomics: a two-height adjustable portafilter fork and a large removable tray ensure a clean, efficient workflow.Anti-static Flap Step: Redesigned to minimize clumpingThe New Fine Thread AdjustmentWe’ve refined the thread pitch of the grind regulator, making it significantly finer and more precise. What this means in practiceGreater precision: Each “click” (half notch) now corresponds to a smaller shift in burr position. This makes grind size adjustments smoother, more gradual, and easier to control.Improved control in the espresso range: On previous models, a single click could cause a major variation in extraction. With Steve PM20, adjustments are more delicate, helping you find the sweet spot for every coffee.Concrete example (espresso): On William PL72, moving from step 2 to 3 could alter extraction time by about 10 seconds. With Steve PM20, the same adjustment changes extraction by only around 5 seconds.→ Result: greater repeatability and less risk of “overshooting” the ideal grind.More fine-tuning space in the espresso zone: Baristas can now adapt grind size with higher accuracy to match different origins, roast profiles, and brew ratios.A more professional experience: This improvement gives users a heightened sense of control, replicating the precision of a professional café grinder while remaining perfectly suited for home or prosumer use.7-SEGMENT DISPLAY: SIMPLE. Whole-bean specialty coffee from Ethiopia, roasted by Trigger roasting brand. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. The brew resembles the flavour of peach, earl grey and caramel.Country: EthiopiaRegion: YirgacheffeFarm: Banko Chelbesa local farmsProcessing: WashedAltitude: 2000 - 2300 m a.s.l.Variety: 74112, 74110Cupping score: 87 / 100ABOUT THE COFFEEChelbesa is a delicate, tea-like coffee from Ethiopia with a clean taste. It stands out with notes of juicy peach and the aroma of Earl Grey tea, while maintaining balance and being very pleasant to drink. This lot comes from Banko Chelbesa in the Gedeb woreda, located in the Gedeo Zone of southern Ethiopia – part of the broader Yirgacheffe coffee-growing region, at an altitude of 2000–2300 meters above sea level. Coffee here is cultivated by multi-generational families of smallholders on small garden plots, often intercropped with enset, avocado, and papaya. The high altitude and iron-rich, acidic soils of the region contribute to the bright, floral character for which classic Yirgacheffe coffee is famous. For this washed-process lot, ripe cherries are depulped on the day of harvest, fermented in clean tanks to remove mucilage, and then thoroughly washed and sun-dried on raised beds.ROASTER'S OPINIONChelbesa is a classic Ethiopian washed coffee, characterized by a delicate, aromatic, and very accessible flavor profile. Peach and Earl Grey give the brew a juicy, tea-like character, while caramel adds warmth and a smooth, long-lasting finish. The brew is clean, balanced, and easy to read, yet complex enough to maintain its appeal. It is distinct, yet calm and drinkable – a great everyday Ethiopia.V60 RECIPEwater temperature: 94 degrees Celsius 300 g water 21 g coffee grind size 7.2 (Fellow Ode II)1. However, the Bayter family has rapidly transformed the plantation into one of the most advanced in the industry in terms of complex processing and cultivating a whole range of select, highly sought-after botanical varieties, such as Geisha, Pink Bourbon, Laurina, or Pacamara.Currently, El Vergel is conducting continuous research on bacteria and yeast to achieve even greater precision in controlling fermentation, and consequently, modulating flavor. In addition to coffee production, the Bayters are the force behind Forest, a company involved in both the export and import of green coffees, which means we were able to purchase this coffee directly, without any intermediaries.ABOUT THE COFFEE PROCESSING ON THE FARMThe Caturra variety, hand-picked, processed as washed, and decaffeinated using the sugarcane method with ethyl acetate, which reduces the caffeine content to approximately 0.1%.ROASTER'S OPINIONHonest truth – in a blind tasting, we would have trouble realizing this is a decaf. It tastes like top-tier, classic washed Colombias. Distinct, crisp fruit, high sweetness, chocolatey notes in the aftertaste. Top-notch!Store in a cool and dry place.

This gorgeous farm has clay loam / volcanic soil and breathtaking terrain. Omar has planted nearly 30,000 trees and takes a very diligent approach to processing. They pick the ripest cherries every 15-20 days during harvest, use traditional pulpers, then dry ferment the coffee for 18-20 hours and rinse the coffee 3 times with clean water before drying in parabolic dryers for up to 18 days depending on weather. From Omar: When I was 7 years old my father helped me planting 300 coffee trees; he gave me a piece of land as an inheritance and when I got married, with the help of my wife, I bought another 4 hectares of land, which I also planted with coffee. Thanks to coffee I was able to pay for the education of my children, and I am proud to have been a finalist in the Best Cup Competitions. It is also very satisfying to be able to represent my municipality as a producer of high quality coffee. I am grateful for the help of the agronomists who have helped me continue to improve the quality of my coffee.OPINIA ROASTERAA very floral, delicate, and sophisticated coffee. Decaf whole-bean specialty coffee from Ethiopia, roasted by COFFEE PLANT from Poland. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. You can expect hints of flowers, honey and citrus fruits.Origin: EthiopiaRegion: GujiProcessing: NaturalMethod of decaffeination: CO2Variety: HeirloomAltitude: 1500-2200 m a.s.l.ABOUT THE REGIONThe Guji region has for years been one of the most valued coffee-growing areas in Ethiopia. The beans come from smallholders whose plantations are located at altitudes ranging from 1,500 to 2,200 meters above sea level. In the shade of native trees, the cherries ripen more slowly, developing the clarity of flavor, floral aromas, and natural sweetness characteristic of this region.ABOUT PROCESSING AND DECAFFEINATIONAfter being processed using the natural method, the coffee underwent decaffeination using carbon dioxide (CO₂). This is one of the gentlest caffeine removal methods, allowing the beans to retain their original character and most of the compounds responsible for taste and aroma. The result is a cup with distinct floral notes, natural sweetness, and citrus freshness – exactly what the best coffees from Guji are known for, just without the caffeine.ROASTER'S OPINIONJust a few years ago, decaf coffee and Ethiopia rarely appeared in the same sentence. Today, you no longer have to choose between your favorite origin and limiting your caffeine intake. Ethiopia Guji Decaf proves that decaffeinated coffee can delight just as much as its classic version – with full flavor, clarity in the cup, and a characteristic origin profile. In the cup, you will find subtle floral notes, the natural sweetness of honey, and the juicy freshness of citrus. It is a light, harmonious, and extremely pleasant composition in which every element perfectly complements the whole. The flavors are clearly defined, but none dominates – instead, they create an elegant, balanced whole. This is one of those coffees where it's easy to forget you're drinking decaf. It doesn't try to impress with intensity or a heavy body. It delights with delicacy, clarity, and natural sweetness, making it great for any time of day. It's a coffee you want to return to – not because it shouts with flavor, but because it leaves behind an exceptionally pleasant memory.Store in a cool, dry place.
