Direct trade had long been a goal for the family, which is why their collaboration with Grounds represents such an important achievement.The main coffee varieties grown on the farm are Caturra and Catuai. In recent years, however, the family has been expanding their horizons by planting F-1 hybrid varieties such as Esperanza, Milenio, and Centroamericano. This marks a step toward greater diversity and long-term sustainability. Gesha has been planted at the highest point of the farm, at 2,000 meters above sea level, within a forested area that provides ideal growing conditions.At Los Campos, the team experiments with a wide range of processing methods, from classic high-quality washed coffees to innovative fermentation techniques, both aerobic and anaerobic.ROASTER’S NOTEI absolutely love coffees from the Alexis family. It’s easy to notice how often they appear in my lineup. This time, we’re serving their classic Catuai processed as White Honey. Sweet, with a lively, juicy acidity, red fruit notes, and a chocolatey finish.
